Words mean things!

-
It begins with a word, 
A phrase or a thought 

It begins with a word
A thought and a deed 

For words let loose do hurt 
Hurt worse than physical pain

For the word in deed is much kinder 
Than words let loose in anger/ disdain 

Hearts and skins, peel away in agony 
In words and inwards, do things remain 

For spoken or unsaid,  words are words
Slice through stone better than swords 

Freedom or otherwise, speak a kinder word 
Than pile upon shackles upon shackles 

Shackles bound and repeated every time 
With a word or phrase in its own psyche 

Words do mean things, 
words do demean things! 

If not spoken to nurture and create
Then words are best left uncreated !

Mrutyunjaya

“Mrutyunjaya”- gasped a passerby when the boy moved by during the usual long walks. The usual influx of cheap and effective fitness bands did their trick of taking care of a lot of things. One of the things that they did not, were the gasps, sights and sounds that just were passing by the boy at times more than normalcy. He realized this was a result of an overtly imaginative mind and on top of it the annual plans of doing things including a trip playing themselves out as mirages in front of him. However, that would have to wait for now. Presently, a family squatted in front, at the end of the footpath. A motley group of family:  a middle aged couple, a not so old man and a bunch of surprisingly well behaved kids. And not to forget, heaps and heaps of bags.                                          Just coming along…. To begin with, the other day seems to be happening just again and again. Well not exactly in the BMTC buses nowadays, but rather everywhere. I admit, rather sheepishly, I too have been bitten by the mobile bug (read talking on the road).
