Present

Live they said, 
Live in the present they said 
Nothing but the present is felt the most within 
Feel your emotions they said 
Conquest of emotions is a charm they said 

All that remains is but the result of the gory present 
No breath left to take, 
No emotion but despair that remains 
All that calls out for reason is withdrawal 
Yet that is not an option, 

What drove in this feeling of despair, 
What took out the sweet scent of self sustenance,  
What caused the healthy mind to go averse, 
Known to none, even to myself, and matter does it not, 
Fear- You Own the place but not the space within 

Fear- You shall not last forever, for  
Live the life they said,  
Courage they said shall find you in unforseen circumstances 
Why would we deserve this punishment? 
Growing roots I am to be able to sustain and survive, 


The present may be horrors personified  
Hope may be all but lost, 
Health may have deserted you, 
THE ONE remains, 
Corrupt or not- the soul still remains 
Live the life they said, the soul remains and so does sustenance, 
For whatever the case may be -  
This too will pass...

Mrutyunjaya

“Mrutyunjaya”- gasped a passerby when the boy moved by during the usual long walks. The usual influx of cheap and effective fitness bands did their trick of taking care of a lot of things. One of the things that they did not, were the gasps, sights and sounds that just were passing by the boy at times more than normalcy. He realized this was a result of an overtly imaginative mind and on top of it the annual plans of doing things including a trip playing themselves out as mirages in front of him. However, that would have to wait for now. Presently, a family squatted in front, at the end of the footpath. A motley group of family:  a middle aged couple, a not so old man and a bunch of surprisingly well behaved kids. And not to forget, heaps and heaps of bags.                                          Just coming along…. To begin with, the other day seems to be happening just again and again. Well not exactly in the BMTC buses nowadays, but rather everywhere. I admit, rather sheepishly, I too have been bitten by the mobile bug (read talking on the road).
