Biryani Tales 101

Moving cities and writing a story are very gut wrenching experiences. Ask anyone who is not young anymore!!!. Not to say that the nameless one was old, but the nameless one was not that young either. It was way past the ideal time to move from the comfort of home and the home city that loved and cared (still does) like a mother cradling its baby gorilla.  The nameless one packed away the bags and went about the way the road too along. Drama was a high fetched one, but it was there on the day home was left behind.. That is a different story now.. Moving back, the cities are just cities. Yet, one was home. Any positives and negatives were just a farfetched thought against home. Cricketing loyalties and companies were all due for only one city—Home. Then again the mind realised the value of families, friends and universality of human nature.. Indian nature to be more precise..  The journey began with the populist festival of Ganesha Chaturthi. The nameless one had a beauti

Universal love

A thought forsaken, Bent on living and smiling, Changes and thoughts living around, Draws but thoughts and parallels, Everyone and everything remains but constant, Forward does the mind think, lest remain stagnant, Grow and grow does the heart does Halting it is all but improbable I, me, myself are all that the mind concern about Just remains the emotion in constant Known are the I, yet unknown are universal love.. Love is not but limited Many are the thoughts that are heard and left out New and novel are all that one thinks off Of all that is old, a certain love remains Permeating souls, both living and eternal Questioning them are but a fools errand Raise above the ordinary they do Some understand, many interpret, To all they treat the same Universal, and universal it remains, Very many let go than understand it Working up the hearts of humans X-rays are not required, mere eyes are enough Yoking hearts together is all that it does Zes

Verses

Verses-flowing threw time, Time and  again do they flow, In round globes and in infinite minds, Flow verses that grow beyond time. Verses, spoken by toddlers -enchanting, Verses, spoken by adolescents - interesting, Verses, spoken by teenagers- conflicting, Verses, spoken by adults- only verses. Verses, define not the age of the speaker, Verses, define not the wisdom of the speaker, Verses, define not the vices of the speaker, Verses, define not the emotion of the speaker Verses, Verses and more verses, All that is conveyed in verses - SILENCE

History, a disease of remembrance

History, a disease of remembrance, For one sweet memory, A hundred sour ones surface, History a disease of remembrance, For one person met, A hundred are forgotten, History a disease of remembrance, For one nation leads and follows Yet everyone leads, History a disease of remembrance, Cultures and vultures, Thrive and die, Are reborn and rebuilt, For History is a disease of remembrance Unfailingly repeating its course in human hands, Nature and time march on, Indifferent of memories or civilisations, History a disease of remembrance Leads on and yet is forgotten.. For History is a disease of remembrance Yet, this too shall pass

If i die.. Bring me back

If i die, Bring me back for i have work left to do, If I die Bring me back for i have a life left to love If I die Brimg me back for i have debts to pay, If i die Bring me back for i have more than what meets the eye. Living each day as they are, Crying, cribbing and hoping, For tomorrow shall be better than today For yesterday was better than today. If i die, Bring me back for i want to live today and now, If i die, bring me back for I am a collective consciousness For spirits die and remain on in physical bodies, Day in amis and day out, Breathing yet dead, eating yet failing to digest life, Have no words to comfort Have no words to console All but hope and prayers For there today, gone tomorrow, All that remains are ashes to ashes dust to dust, Yet karma remains, for if I die, bring me back for I want to live before I die

Arise- a thousand splendid Suns

Splendid suns, a thousands splendid Suns, The metaphor stands abused, each time there is a meet, One globe in a sun glove, Yet, metaphorically humans and their deeds flow a thousands times better, A sun in its abundance is a bit too hot for the globe, Yet thousands live reminding us to revel In glories, a thousand times bright, What drives greatness or humility is lives liven Yet for all the glories achieved or lost in translation you are but human Human, dear lost soul, find your self, Find your soul and move on in life than pursuing goals limited to one lifetime, Awake from your slumber, of deeds and actions not done for others, Also yet to think that tatvam asi Arise awake and ask not who woke you up For today you are awoken Tomorrow you shall awake a generation A generation to live and extoll the glories that is but- a thousands times brighter than the sun!!

A Breath

And I took a breath, Lives languages and cultures differed, A breath it took to still the mind Still I tried to have a mind While a storm blew about Music saved lives they say, Soothed it mine, yet fired it up the next. A breath I took, soaking in societies and conformity, A breath I took, wheezing out assumptions that let go of themselves, A breathe I took, wondering the way of living, Gasping and wondering the complexity of society, loving in its simplicity, A breath I took, politics and poverty, all discussed, yet what mattered next was, A breath that was taken.. Living, loving and caring souls all around, Some circles are small, some wide A few circle the circle of life and death. For a breath I took and breathed it out, for that too is not mine to hold...

Spoken words

A few words spoken, yet nothing was said A few words spoken, yet all understood, A few words spoken, wise panda’s counsel A few words spoken,  full of yogic wisdom A smile requested, to warm the soul A smile requested, to soothe the soul A smile requested, for one received is multiple A smile requested, for happiness is in simple things A life lived, through trials and tribulations A life lived, through troughs and crests A life lived, from yesterdays to today’s A life lived, for life not loved is not lived at all

A fire distressed

A fire distressed, a way above and beyond, Thoughts and actions, acting beyond compare, Little souls, wandering about Full of fire within, yet distressed. A little thought, living or loving Plays along on confused souls For carpe diem is just a day Carpe vitam is all that is due.. Life and soul, living and seizing All that is learnt is just unlearnt The fire within is but a spark, Distressed or not, is beaten within. All that is due is carpe vitam, Life love and everything in between are but- an epiphany.
